HTTP webhook destination
Sends the action’s JSON body to any http(s) URL.
| Setting | Notes |
|---|---|
| URL | http:// or https:// |
| Method | POST, PUT or PATCH |
| Headers | One Name: value per line, for example an Authorization header |
Headers are stored locally and excluded from export.
The body is a JSON template (see templates), or the forwarded event.
Testing
Test connection sends a small test event ({"event": "test", ...}). Any
2xx reply passes.
Where requests are sent from
- Simulator: requests go through the local server, which forwards only to the URLs of saved webhook destinations (plus the one being tested). See Local server.
- Overwolf app: the request is made directly, so the target must allow CORS.
Like every action, webhook requests are not retried automatically.
