Overwolf games
In the Overwolf app, Stream Pulse receives live game events through Overwolf’s Game Events Provider (GEP).
Game discovery
The app uses Overwolf’s official endpoints:
- Catalog: https://game-events-status.overwolf.com/gamestatus_prod.json
- Features and event definitions:
https://game-events-status.overwolf.com/<game_id>_prod.json
The checked-in catalog is an offline snapshot. Settings > Refresh catalog updates game names and health. Load events loads an individual game’s features, event names, info categories, sample data, and health. Failures are visible and do not replace the previous snapshot.
Support status
The initial snapshot verifies:
| Requested game | Game class ID | Initial GEP status |
|---|---|---|
| Fortnite Battle Royale | 21216 | Operational |
| WARDOGS | 28196 | Unsupported (state: 0) |
| Killing Floor 3 | No verified entry | Mock only |
These are API observations, not promises of future support. Health codes are
0 unsupported, 1 operational, 2 degraded, and 3 unavailable. Overlay
support is not the same as GEP support.
The Event Lab can define mock events for unavailable games; doing so cannot add live GEP support. For games without GEP, use custom games.
Adding games
New games must be declared in the shipped manifest. A runtime catalog refresh cannot change an installed manifest.
Run task catalog:sync, rebuild, and reload the extension when adding newly
published game IDs. Sync includes all verified GEP catalog IDs in
game_events, game targeting, and auto-launch configuration. The sync script
bundles Fortnite feature definitions; other games load features on demand in
the UI.
Registration
Only features used by enabled rules for the running game are registered. Subscriptions are refreshed after rule changes and game switches. See Overwolf app for runtime details and Rules for how GEP data is normalized.
